I've always wanted to be a vaulter. Maybe the folks at Cavalia will see this and pick me up.

I'm debating running my TB's tat through the Jockey Club database. I intend to show him next year, and need a name. I've thought of a few I like, but should he have his registered name? I'm terrified it'll be something insipid and inappropriate. I...

In my opinion, jail doesn't improve anyone's disposition. My family is from Pcola. I've seen a lot of Cantonment. It's a very poor area that perpetually stinks of the local paper mill. I imagine going to jail is just a rite of passage for this guy...

In that case, I'll say that you've done it once, so at least you'll know what you're doing next time. See? Optimism can be sickening sometimes. In a year or two, maybe it'll feel better. I know the credit scars hang around for a while (dealing wit...

Cheers Frank! My granddad was a jockey. He rode Thoroughbreds in Miami in the early half of the 20th century. I never got to talk to him about it much. My parents were none too keen on me taking up an equestrian career, least of all on the track. ...

I'm so sorry. You must be devastated. I'd throw in some uplifting platitude, but you're probably sick of hearing it.

Is she paying board? If she's paying for all of the horse's care, keep and equipment, I wouldn't charge anything on top of that. Make sure you have an airtight contract drawn up by a lawyer. Letting a horse leave your barn can be a dodgy business.

Thanks folks! I can see this is going to be fun already.
Admin, I'm not yet expert with it. I would love to participate in some discussions though. I've been using clicker for about three months now. It really was a last resort after I realized I was in over my head with a rescue horse. (He's coming along very nicely now that we can communicate.) I'll put a shout out on the clickryder yahoo group. Some of those folks are expert and I know they love to share their knowledge. Jane Savoie just interviewed two of them for her site, Sharon Foley and Dolores Arste.

Hey Kinny, right after I left you a message, I noticed that you do clicker training. Are you expert at it? I thought it might be fun to do a little series on the philosophy and training ideas for our community and was wondering if any of our members knew anything about it!
