This article is 25 years old. I'm sure there are have been many more developments in equine nutrition since it was written.
The article points to high quality hay for all the horse's nutritional needs. Technically this is correct *BUT* this require…
many generic supplements claim to improve overall health...similar i believe to us taking a multi vitamin and mineral supplement. As humans though, we can work out how much of each we need and then ensure we have the right amounts in our diets...i h…
Thankyou Chris. I feel that the term natural horsemanship is in essence a wonderful one. i do however see on a regular basis here in England, horses displaying conflict behaviour due to the confusion being caused by the misuse of 'techniques'. This…

Hi Laura, Thanks for your comments, I try to be a little helpful to others . I always remember the help I recieved( and continue to recieve ), I see equestrian knowledge as collective and part of increasing that knowledge is sharing. Andrew Mclean is also one of my , what's the right word, not idol , mentor perhaps? I am planing to spend a week at his place with a couple of my horses in the spring. Should be interesting. Cheers Geoffrey .

drinking goats milk??? ... Meeeee????
Ewwwwwwww .... Nooooooo Possible Waaaaaay!!!
I used the goats milk to mix 1/2 and 1/2 with powdered milk replacer, to feed baby "bucket" calves.
I had two VERY gentle "hornless" nanny goats, who had lovely soft personalities ...
... and thinking about it ... I don't recall that "They" had any sort of "un-attractive" smell.
But I have 'smelled" that Really Awful smell that billy goats have about them (not to mention their destructive disgusting behavior!!! ) … which I “think” is what gives ALL goats such a bad reputation.
...lol ... I don’t really know ….*shrugs* …I’m certainly NO expert on goats!!
