How sad, Ann. But as folks are saying, you did the right thing. Doesn't ease the immediate pain, though, I know. Take comfort in your special memories of him.
So sorry for the loss of your special friend. I'm so glad you have some young horses with you to help soften the pain just a bit. Sometimes the cycle of life is very hard to accept.
