Thank you so much Tanya! Actually, I have sold 4 of my 2009 foals "in-utero" . My 5th one is awaited in great anticipation - the Starlight foal from my good-producing Espri-Woermann mare. Starlight has been so impressive - Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon in 2008, and GOV 2007 Stallion of the year (and multiple USDF honours in 2007 and 2008). And the dam produces outstanding offspring every time. It is like Christmas, anticipating the spring births.

OH...by the way, the mare in the US, the coming 4 year old and a coming 6 year old mare by Tramino....are all out of the same dam...a trakehner mare by Bernstein. She was also scored premium when inspected by the CWHBA.

Thanks Tanya! On the slide show here on Barn Mice, the 1st chestnut with white wraps, age 3 in photo, is by our stallion Faro (Nemo/Falko QV) she is now owned by a wonderful lady in Virginia, and they placed 1st in every dressage test in 08!! She was very happy...even though there were days she thought her tests not great! The bay mare facing left is a trakehner mare by Merkur, who was a PSG mare. The #3 hefty chestnut with blonde rider is my imported dutch mare, that I ride..bred last year to our dutch. Not sure she caught though. #5 big bay at show..is our deceased dutch stallion (Kristal/Doruto). I have 2 other trakehner mares (by Bernstein). One is in foal to Liebreiz and one in foal to Oberon. Blew that one, the one in foal to Oberon, has a stellar coming 4 year old by Liebreiz! He received an 8.33 at the Riding HOrse test last year with less than 40 rides on him. Test rider loved him, gave him 7, 8 and 9. One of the dressage riders just loved him to bits, and says, wait till the other dressagers see him with some more weight and a year older! He's fun!! Trainer really enjoyed him to. We bought a trakehner mare, by Falko QV, to bred to our deceased dutch...took awhile to pick her up, so her owner (owner of Oxford) bred her to him...have a lovely coming 6 year old mare (black) out of that. Our trainer leased her to bred to her trakehner stallion, and had a fabulous colt last year. She's home now, and will go back to finish her start, present for mare approval, and hopefully, maybe trainer will also take her to the riding horse test. Have more mare photos I can send you if you want.
When it comes to breeding. I personally look at the mare....her good qualities, her poor qualities, her bloodlines. Then try to find stallion that may strengthen the weaknesses, not loss the good points, and most of all, possesses the ability to pass on good work ethic, and talent. Then, hope like crazy!! We have been very fortunate. We have 4 stallions in total...but hear that Feurst Gadow is coming to our country, and would like to bred something to him...and will look at the ATA site for a prospective stallion to bred one of our Liebreiz trakehner daughters to. Of course, it depends on whether we get enough breedings to our stallions as well, to cover off costs. Our youngest stallion has to go back to trainer's and get to the licensing, and SPT this year. More dolars. we must be crazy! But do love the babies. Getting a little excited about maybe riding one of our youngsters this year as well.
When I finally (hopefuly ) this week, get the new computer up, I will be putting together a video of each of the stallions, etc. Take care...it's great to find another trakehner enthusiast.

Neat photos...especially the bugsuit guy..chuckle. What is his damline? Wish we'd been able to have kept Donaufurst in Canada!! I have a couple with Schwalbenherbst in them...love 'em...but they are NOT small dainty packages! But movement....gotta love it! Have a Pasewalk grandson too, and a Nemo. Should have one pb trakehner foal this spring, and hoping to bred two more of my trakehner mares this year, trakehner...and the others will bred to the dutch. Dying to hear your level too! I am riding a Int.1 schoolmaster...and she's teaching me lots....

Since then, I took a passion with training young horses and bought two in my life (a Trakehner sired by Carino and later another Trakehner sired by Donaufurst) that I have broke myself and have been learning and educating myself in dressage.
