In my first test I was riding The Evil Pony and he basically behaved, although he didn't go fast enough, LOL. The judge was General Jonathan R. Burton who was a brilliant judge and a bona fide old timer even way back then. After completely shami...

Hello Everybody

Freeling Heights Of Essence

If anybody does not know about Effie { my new pony!} Well She is the best little pony ever { along with Melly and my old pony Rupurt!} And I love her to bits. She reefs abit and if u dont know what that means then it means kind of chucking her head but now mum fixed it { she is a B level Judge{ Dressage and a level 2 coach} so she is pretty useful!! Except the funny thing is that I dont really listen to her except once when I went to Geoff Pannell's place he said exactly the same thing except I listened to him!! But anyway back to Effie she is a 13.2hh pony and she is a Welsh x Arab x RP. She is a good pony and she has jumped 1.15 metres !! She is a really good jumper and is REALLY good at cross-country!! She is also a Liver Chesnut.

Rupert
Rupert was my first pony he was a Black Shetland Pony and VERY VERY hairy!! He was also a bit scary to big horses becuase you could not see his eyes!! Becuase of all the fur!! I got him from Judith Brown the person that owns Kelly Smith's Lease Pony, Bazil!! He did not like jumping becuase he was so small!!!

Loch Sloy Melody
Melly was my second pony. I got her for christmas I still have her and ride her round the paddock and jump her over 50cm. She is 11.2hh and Is a Welsh Mountain Pony. She is also turning 29 in October this year. She has no signs of arthritis yet. And she bombs around the paddock!! It still takes abit to get her going like Spurs, Whip and going wack, Wack, Wack and she only just canters!! She coughs and we got the vet out about it and there is nothing wrong so everything is good!!!

I LOVE MY PONIES {even though we don't have Rupert anymore}

My Mum is also a a Level 2 Coach & a B Level Judge. We usually use my old Pony Melly or we use Banjo, Melly does lots of stuff including Jumping, Dressage & Trailriding and she is 29yo. Melly is 11.2hh & Banjo is 14.1hh. I hope you can contact me on my page just leave a comment and I will send u a private message about our number but you can just email my mum on fionahs56@hotmail.com, Thanxs, Rach

that is very cool, Rachel! Good luck with your riding! It sounds like you have a very good advantage with your mum being so knowledgeable and all. I know it is difficult to listen to what she says concerning your riding, but try to hear what she says (I am sure you do), because she will always tell you the truth, even if it is not what you want to hear at the moment. :-) Keep me posted about your progress!

Hi Rachel, Sorry for the delay in responding to your comment...I have been in North Alabama teaching dressage for the past month, and just got back a few days ago. Thank you so much for your nice comment on my DP. The horse I am riding is Godiva, a Dutch Warmblood mare that I rode and trained when I was the Director of Equestrian at Windsor. I now have a DWB gelding that is absolutely amazing, and a wonderful schoolmaster. I would love to hear about your riding and your horse(s) that are in your life! If you would like to "follow" me on my blog at: http://iridedressage.blogspot.com and also follow me on Twitter, if you tweet :-) that link is: http://twitter.com/piaffe4me
And if you blog or twitter, send me the link! Happy riding, hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks so much! Secret is my best girlfriend for sure. We'd love to join your group animal lovers too. As you can see from my page we have a few at our place. If we had a bigger place I know we'd have more too.
Although our place is small the neighbors also have chickens geese, ducks and dogs and they all come to visit everyday.

slc2 replied to Linda White's discussion 'Colic' in the group Over 50 crowd
Well, I feel that every colic is different. Ask your vet for suggestions as to why the colic occured (one doesn't always know), and don't worry too much about big pieces of carrot causing colic; it is unusual for that to even be a factor. I don't ...
