I am off to an AI course at Olds College (AB,Canada) in March. I want to decide if I will advertise for outside mares and whether I will do AI with my jack for my mares and/or outside mares. Those of you who do AI on your stud, would you kindly let…

Hi Shell, Your market sounds wonderful, and of course your animals must be really good and your marketing as well. I can hardly imagine having presold foals, though I have seen a couple of sites advertising them I don't know how they are doing. I…

Hi Ann, Good question about the recession...... To be blatantly honest - its not really affecting us too much. We have sold everything as soon as its hit the ground basically, and have a waiting list and 'orders placed' for specific matings that…

Dear Marilyn, good to hear from you! I met the BC chapter president at the OKBreeders Stallion Show case in Armstrong, where we presented Platinum and a mare and yearling colt for sale (if you know somebody for this super quality youngster $ 9000, financing possible, 20% commission. I have no buddy for him. He'll reach 16.3, is a super mover, trailered, shown in hand, A1 conformation and character. Platinum-Martini-Donaufuerst bred).
I really would like to get involved in the local Warmblood scene. Next year I want to breed Platinum's 2 1/2 black halfsister (by Guy Laroche-Michelangelo, out of Palma Nigra by Habicht) to a top BC Warmblood stallion, preferably Holstein or Dutch Warmblood.Any suggestion? If it works well, I would breed her every year with Warmbloods other than Trakehner.
We have Platy and 5 broodmares here in South Okanagan near Osoyoos. Last weekend Platy won Reserve Champion 1st level (gold) at Kelowna Spring Dressage under 17 y.o. Ashley Walton-Bose from Oliver. Next show is Salmon Arm, there at 2nd level. I think, touch of Class in Fort Langley follows. We got ourselves a truck camper to stay at the show grounds. Where will we see you? I have to look up you address to see, if you are close enough to a showground to visit you.

How are things at your place? Because of the move last year and construction here, we lost a bit touch with the horse scene. Days did have not enough hour to keep up! Hope it will all settle a bit by the end of this year...Love, Connie.
