The Desert Normans sound a lovely cross. I had no idea that there was a registry for them. The two half-sisters I have are by a sire that is Percheron, Paint and Arab; one is registered half Arab, the other out of a Thoroughbred/Belgian. They are ...

Did you know that an arab/percheron cross is called a Desert Norman, and that there is now a registry for these horses? I stumbled across my first arab/perch cross more than 30 years ago and haven't looked at horses the same since. The cross is ra...

Hi Marilyn, All is pretty much the same , love your new foals. We only bred a handful of foals last year and only expecting one this year..Even though we are in winter the weather is great , cool evenings and glorious days..Business is flat out to the stage I am using another barn 10 minutes down the road for all the breakers..

Dear Marilyn, good to hear from you! I met the BC chapter president at the OKBreeders Stallion Show case in Armstrong, where we presented Platinum and a mare and yearling colt for sale (if you know somebody for this super quality youngster $ 9000, financing possible, 20% commission. I have no buddy for him. He'll reach 16.3, is a super mover, trailered, shown in hand, A1 conformation and character. Platinum-Martini-Donaufuerst bred).
I really would like to get involved in the local Warmblood scene. Next year I want to breed Platinum's 2 1/2 black halfsister (by Guy Laroche-Michelangelo, out of Palma Nigra by Habicht) to a top BC Warmblood stallion, preferably Holstein or Dutch Warmblood.Any suggestion? If it works well, I would breed her every year with Warmbloods other than Trakehner.
We have Platy and 5 broodmares here in South Okanagan near Osoyoos. Last weekend Platy won Reserve Champion 1st level (gold) at Kelowna Spring Dressage under 17 y.o. Ashley Walton-Bose from Oliver. Next show is Salmon Arm, there at 2nd level. I think, touch of Class in Fort Langley follows. We got ourselves a truck camper to stay at the show grounds. Where will we see you? I have to look up you address to see, if you are close enough to a showground to visit you.

How are things at your place? Because of the move last year and construction here, we lost a bit touch with the horse scene. Days did have not enough hour to keep up! Hope it will all settle a bit by the end of this year...Love, Connie.

Marti Langley Lakota is beautiful. She is liver chestnut, not bay. She is big and stocky and can carry an adult easily. Well trained, too.
