HI Brenda I am thinking of learning to drive myself. There are a couple of clinics being offered by Ontario Driving Association sometime in the spring. I am going to attend to see if I like driving.

Maureen That is a nice shot. I think you are one of the first Canadian Riders I have seen featured in the clinic. Well done.

Hi Mary-Joe,
Your name just seemed to pop up on the page I was looking at!

Thanks for the compliments & your gelding is very handsome too. I love his dark points; will they stay?

I'm hoping to do my mentoring at the Pickering Horse Centre since it's not too far a drive and there should be lots of opportunity to observe given the large lesson program. Will let you know how I make out ;-)

Yes, I'm on Face Book too!

Take care,
Julie

Hi Mary-Joe, I looked all over and can't find the video I think I leant it to someone. I'm sure you can find it on Google. Oh, my horse Ryn has very interesting markings, in that picture he does look like a buckskin but he is actually a dun with a grey dorsal stripe, also champagne colored legs and dappling allover his body, light in some areas. His mane and tail is silver. His dam was a champagne mahogany chestnut and his sire is a dun with amber eyes and a silver mane and tail. In my breeding program when I was still breeding morgans I bred for this plus the temperament they carry, and when I quit I didn't realize what I had and gelded them. Talk about kick myself around the block. Anyway, the most important thing is how sweet they are and how trainable too.

Hi Barbara

You are very welcome to come up, as long as you let me invite myself down to your neck of the woods one day. I live in Milton, Ontario which is north of Toronto. The Region is called Halton and it boasts one of the more lovely picturesque areas. Halton is a big horse country that is why I live here. It also boasts the Niagara Escarpment which is a protected green belt with fauna and flora. Milton is a small town and growing, (and everybody seems to be discovering it of late). I hate it when that happens. Anyway within 5 minutes I am out in the country. I plan to buy a small horse property (provided I win the lottery when I retire. (I keep dreaming).

Cheers

Mary-Joe

It is Good horse country here, I'll try to post some pics when I honestly figure out how ... *laughing* ... so far I've posted one pic of a welsh cross pony I had nearly 50 years ago, it was for a thread I saw ... something about "Your First Pony" ... but silly me ... now I can't for the life of me Find The darn Thread to post the pic and make my comment!!!
....I'd certainly Love to get up in Your direction of the world one day.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me that message ..
Ohhhhh my gosh Mary-Joe ... we have our "Moms" in common.
After falling a little over a year ago, and fracturing both her hips, my Mom has gone from bad to worse and we finally made the Very painful decision to place her in a full care facility ... the last time I visited, she didn't even know me ... it really hurt.
You're Right my friend ... it really puts into perspective how short our days honestly are ... and for me ... that we need to live each day as Best we can, to the Fullest... Delight in our accomplishments and ...NEVER ...allow regrets, or ANY Negative .. to steal our hopes, and dreams ... Our Rainbows!!!
(of course ... it's always easy to say the positive stuff, not always as easy to live it ..*wink* )

Hi Mary Joe,
Yes I am the same person that tested you. I heard you were boarding at Carols. I think I saw you at the Goldenwoods dressage show? I was there with some of my students.
Are you having a good season?

Hi Mary-Joe, I do have a good hauler that has brought and taken many horses for me through Cnada and he travels to the US. I do also have a DVD of her that I can send to anyone interested. I just hate to see her going to waste:) Thanks for helping get the word out about her. She is a nice mare, too nice to be wasted on a silly eventer like me:)

Hello, I have a beautifu baroque style Friesian/Warmblood mare for sale that really needs to find a good Dressage home. I am just trying to put the word out. I am an eventer and she would be much better off in a Dressage home. If anyone knows someone that might be interested she is on my website www.ptfponypower.com . Thanks
