Hi Lynn,
Just wanted to let you know that, as anticipated, my husband and I have separated and I am unable to keep Nugget at this time, so I thought I'd let you know first. Please let me know if you are still interested in bringing him back home as he is very close to where you are and I will be moving to Southern AB but will not be financially capable of keeping him. It is breaking my heart but I want to ensure that he is well taken care of. Please email me at dianamb2000@yahoo.ca and I'll respond right away. I'm currently in B.C. working but will be able to contact you via email.

Hi Lynn,
Good to hear from you. Well, the sun has finally arrived and I can't say I miss the snow. As you probably guessed, I'm so happy with Nugget. He is such a sweetie and everyone loves him. He does test me a great deal and my lessons have been put on hold due to my instructors son being one of the boys in the BC avalanche. He's ok but he lost his cousin and several friends. Needless to say, I have only now started my lessons again but I have ridden Nuggett a fair bit in the arena. He does however know my weakness and how nice I am, so we are now just beginning to deal with that and I am becomming more assertive with him, with excellent results so far. For now I'm riding in controlled environments, with the occasional cross country. My goal is a bit of barrel stuff but I'm fine also with just enjoying him and knowing we both are still getting to know one another.
I'm very happy with him. Look forward to hopefully seeing you one day and hopefully you can see Nugget again too.
Hi Lynn,
Well, I started my lessons with Ruth Wagner this week-end. Nugget was absolutely wonderful and I even had a small audience who enjoyed the show. Everyone commented on how he connected with me so well. I'm really enjoying him and look forward to a long future with him. Again, thank you so much for bringing him into my life.
Welcome to Barn Mice. You are sooooooo going to enjoy this site as it will open up so many doors. I'll be attaching more photos soon so stay tuned.
Have a great week-end!

You are correct. I believe my horse is "relaxed" when he "gives his back", or his back moves softly up and down as he moves. I achieve this on the lunge line and don't proceed to further work unless I get it. Laura
