Ever wondered about Horse Statues?

Someone sent me an email that said...

If a statue of a person in the park on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle.
If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle.
If the horse has a all four legs on th

History and knowledge never go away.
Be sure to read the final paragraph, but your understanding of it will

The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number.
Why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England , and English expatriates built the US rail

Mr. G. DeLully put down

Sad news to hear...

British Equestrian Team member Fiona Bigwood has lost her number one Grand Prix horse Mr G de Lully. The Swedish bred gelding had to be humanely put down after he sustained 7 fractures between his hoof and fetlock bone. He was out in the sand paddock and wearing boots and bandages at the time of the accident.

Hi Linda,
What type of work do you do with the police? Does it include the "bombproofing" of the horse(s) or just riding instruction ? It would be interesting to watch the process. I have ridden the Metro police horses in the past (a fair while ago) in Toronto. They are very cool..

Hi Linda,
thank you for your response to my question. I have recently started using some trot poles and canter poles and she is doing single jumps quite well. I think that you are right in thinking that I close my body off when approaching the jump and that I need to concentrate on relaxing and breathing. She has been doing well the last couple of days in our jumping while doing single jumps but I have not tried doing any courses as I am trying to make it really boring and easy for her. I appreciate the advice you gave!
thanks again
