About Me:
I have always loved horses as a child I lived beside a large Trakehner horse breeding farm, I always dreamed of owning my own horse. I took lessons and worked for a small Saddlebred stable for a couple of years. I did not ride for many years due to family obligations, but did continue to take a few lessons whenever possible.
A few years ago my sister-in-law bought some acreage and two horses. I rode with her and realized how much I missed being around horses. So for my birthday my husband gave me a gift of riding lessons at a local barn. The rest is history.
I have been taking lessons at that stable for the last 3 and 1/2 years. The last year and a half I have leased a Clydesdale gelding, he is a fun ride. So I do have a soft spot for the drafts.

Thanks Lee! It's awesome to see your Clydes. And it's nice to see other people enjoying drafts!
You should call my farrier Chad Goldsmith. He has lots of experience with both drafts and light horses. He is very patient and kind even with unruly babies. 905-649-8370

Hi Lee, well , let me tell you about the fun I had yesterday on my draft. I got thrown...HARD. I'm embarrassed to say that at 6 she's still green. She got spooked by a dog in the bush (I was not alone) my saddle slipped & off I went!! TOTAL RIDER ERROR!! You're soooo right about their personalities Lee, I'm gonna hobble over to the barn to get some draft love ;) p.s check out the events calender, I've got a posting for a fundraiser my friends & I having.....maybe you could bring clyde?
