Hi Laura,

It's been very hot here and we have had some very bad bushfires recently. We're all hoping for Autumn to arrive and some rain (No rain here since before Christmas.) Otherwise, it's good!

There are lots of Warmblood horses in Australia but probably not so many groups as there would be in Canada and the US.

New Zealand is fantastic but I'm yet to head over there to visit. They have stunning scenery and great horses.

My horse is Holsteiner/Lippizaner breeding.

You must really love black horses, I take it! Gorgeous photos.

Cheers!

I had Sarah Faulkner do my breeding last year. She does an awesome job with Frozen and very reasonably priced too.

I'm in Ontario about 2 hrs north of Toronto. We're on 25 acres and have been here for 15 years. My profile pic is Ben - he's rising 4. Not backed yet, but a lot of groundwork and lunging. He's a Belgian/Standardbred cross. Amazing movement and temperment to match. I just love him. I've had him since he was 6 mos. old. My other love is Hank- he's a 20 year old thoroughbred. Done lots and lots of dressage with him - not competing though. I'm not into competing at all. Then my old guy Cailen is a registered quarter horse (actually from Alberta), he's 30. I really bought him as company for Hank when we moved up here.

Well said, slic2! There are two sides to every issue (sometimes there are more), and we need to be aware of all of them. I agree that there are horses who benefit from being ridden for short periods behind the vertical, which, as you say, is RAD...
