I saw this on a show once, but I don't know if it works. . . If you want to de-spook a horse, try to show them the object a lot! Maybe even try to show another horse the object, while letting your horse watch.

I figure we are fortunate that they are willing to let us ride them. Most of us (me for sure) could be gotten rid of soooo easily. And then there is your guy, I can see him do what you describe, he is an athlete! Sooo obvious from your pics of him. I do at times watch my horses antics too or just how fast he can go and I think "Wow, and I ride that!"
If I haven't already told you, I really like the picture of your horse in the ID picture. He looks like a real character and then I see the other shots in your album and there is that attitude! Very cool! He must be lots of fun....full of attitude!!
