Hi Kristin, Your horse is gorgeous! Welcome!!

Profile Information

About Me:
My name is Kristin and I am in LOVE with horses! All I ever do (well I have friends) is think about horses.
"My" (actually I don't own him; it's more like a "free" lease) pony is an amazing 13hh Tabiano Paint Gelding, 12 years old. His name is Sunny Side Up (aka Sunny or Sun)! I'm big on him, but it doesn't matter (as long as my legs aren't touching the ground and he can barely move!). I love that guy more than life. We both enjoy showing, hunter/jumpers! We're both inexperienced but we'll get there. Anyways, he also loves the trail (same here).
But, I also ride a few Warmbloods. Kayzee (17 year old Holstein mare), Matt (21 year old Hanoverian gelding), Panama (19 year old Appendix-Paint gelding) and Dukat (21 year old Hano/Oldenburg gelding)! I love them to pieces, too. I mainly hack them around, but they're always a joy to ride (except the fact that Dukat's lame -- ringbone). I'm really close to my barn owner and she owns everybody (including Sun) except Panama. Plus, she owns a baby mustang (Poncho 1 year old gelding) and Daisy (7 year old AWB mare that sometimes I'll hop on -- she's really green).
Sorry for the essay.

Well said, slic2! There are two sides to every issue (sometimes there are more), and we need to be aware of all of them. I agree that there are horses who benefit from being ridden for short periods behind the vertical, which, as you say, is RAD...
