I talk to my horse while I am grooming her. I ask her how her day was, tell her a little about mine, etc. I always thank her for lifting up her hooves when she is supposed to, or putting the bit in her mouth. It's just good manners. ;) When we are...

You know how people always tell you that you never truly appreciate your horse until you ride someone elses? I have decided to test that theory. My horse came up lame on Thursday. Poor girl will be ok but has to have a few weeks off, so I can't r...

Profile Information

About Me:
I live in New Mexico. I have been riding for close to four years (I rode when I was little and took a long break). I have been doing hunters for a year and this year will be my first year of showing. I have an 11 year old Hanoverian mare that I dearly love. She has given me back the confidence that I was lacking after my first horse, which was not a good match for me. We have been a team for about a year now and we have started to mesh really well.
Do you have any pets?
