How would it hurt a horse's back?

It's a great girth. I fully endorse it! It's really flexible, and though you'll still find sweat marks in very hot weater or during extra hard work, it's much more breathable than standard stud guard type girths.

i am a hardcore Level 42 fan because i am a music lover!
I have a background in veterinary medicine and science (veterinary ophthalmology, also animal biology and agricultural/farm management). I worked in academic veterinary research (managed veterinary ophthalmology research and academic labs), and at the UF human orthopedic tissue bank while in college. I have 4 horses currently.
