- Hi Diane! Welcome to Barnmice!! It is my favorite horse link and biggest time eater. I live in Michigan, USA but try to be a citizen of the world. I started riding shortly after turning 50 and I have one horse that I board near my home. He's an 8 year old buckskin/bay QH that I got when he was barely 3. We have gone thru many stages as he matures but I try to deal with issues as they arise and do hope some things get easier. I ride for the fun of it and have to keep this guy entertained or he gets bored and then testy. I do love our relationship and fortunately enjoy doing groundwork stuff and still deal with some fear issues when riding but we've come a really long way together.
