"You prepare to position for the transition." Ray Hunt

Truer words have never been spoken.

It's kind of strange sometimes to think about my own past, horseman I've known, clinics I've participated in and watched. Ray Hunt was probably the most impressive. When I was in college, he was the "horse god". We all felt so privileged when he came to give us a free clinic. It was a packed house that evening. His books were required reading in our colt starting classes. Back then I didn't really… Continue

A Little Horse Therapy

I'm currently in the process of recuperating from a broken humerus in my left arm. That would be the bit bone between your shoulder and your elbow. I broke it March 31st during a fall from a new horse I got off the racetrack. It's not like I'm an inexperienced rider. I rode and started racehorses when I was younger. I actually remember thinking before that I needed to take her back to the roundpen because she wasn't paying enough attention to me. I shoulda listened to my intuition. Ah well, they… Continue

Hey up Desirea!!
Yup, I agree with You!!
I think We Do Need MORE Blogs!!
Anyway, I'd Love to see more Blogs ... about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!
I seriously thought about starting a Blog of my own about the adventures of Horse Shopping!!
The challenge for me however ( and I suspect for many others as well ) would be in the "Insecurity" of writing something that Others would want to read.
And maybe the Biggest Challenge of all ... writing something worth reading ... on a Consistant Basis!!

You're also right about "Pictures" ... I LOVE Seeing everyone's Pictures!!! (even when they're not particularly horse related ..lol ) .. but how do we get folks to post them???
I know I posted a few recently, and what is STILL going through my mind is ... "my pics SUCK"
...*laughing* ... insecurities are what Really SUCK!!!

Thanks for becoming my friend.
Isn't it nice how our old riding skills can reappear without warning when we most need them?

Congratulation for your remarks. Horses are lame because they are not properly trained for the achievements they are asked to perform. Instead of using more drug to repair the damages, a more efficient application of advances in scientific knowled...
