I'll join the porch meeting - even though ice tea right now is too easy. I can take normal tea and put it outside. After 5 minutes it will be ice tea. Here is -10 today.
Ciao

That must have been a different trainer than the one who told Patrick Kittel what to do on Scandic lately :-))
Thanks for the good explanation to both of you Anna and Shimmer. However I still see some issues I don't understand. I can see how you do…
very nice video, indded. I just which I would understand the comments in it. Hm, coming to think of it it may be better not to understand them if they are as superficial as the ones I usually hear on TV.
Hi,
the explanation is very well, even though it produced in my imagination a picture of my horse sitting in an armchair falling asleep after dinner with the latest FEI progressive list at its legs. :-)))
However your description sounds like you ha…
I love this discussion, even though I have to look up words in the dictionary about all this biomechanical stuff...
I think there is a big difference wether you ride your own horse, excercising for some decent level or whether you want to compete o…
True, the show jumpers don't care that much either way. There are two differences though.
First of all, as soon as the horse jumps, hyperflexion is over. The horse has to lift its head and neck or else it won't be able to jump. That was one of the i…
Hi,
I think its pretty clear that the FEI won't be able to do anything. The FEI is an organization which has to work out agreements. As riders won't agree on the Rollkur topic, the FEI will not be able to find a an agreement that all FN's would supp…
Very interesting discussion.
Parick Kittel for example got some problems from that published video. He has a sponsor who is getting nervous about bad PR. So the discussion itself can generate problems that nobody thought of in the beginning.
We ar…
I'm dressage fan but I do show jumping, western riding as well. I'm also a judge or dressage and show jumping, but not on intl. level. I have a Hannoveranian (weltmeyer) and a Spanish horse and its great fun riding those and compare the differences.

You are correcct, the 1972 Olympics was a little before my time; however, my uncle competed for the Canadian team in volleyball that year. I know that I have seen clips of horses jumping enormous fences, but haven't been able to find anything today from those games. It must have been something to have been able to see it, when it was happening! And what is a horseshow without beer? My husband has recently developed a good taste for Warstiener. He had spent some time in Munster last summer.
Where did you train? My old coach was raised in Germany, his name was Otto Sameit. He passed away last year. He was sure tough but made very VERY good riders.
I hope you enjoy your day! The sun is out here, so I think I will enjoy mine.
Welcome Bernd!
So glad you found us! I have a Donnerhall son and am starting to be very interested in the Spanish horses as well. What types of differences have you noticed?
