The TV coverage will be catastrophic. Only 2 reports for 30 minutes from dressage and jumping and that's it.- unless someone changes the TV program schedules....
If I can afford to go, I will, but it depends on this years business result. I'd be coming from Germany.

You are correcct, the 1972 Olympics was a little before my time; however, my uncle competed for the Canadian team in volleyball that year. I know that I have seen clips of horses jumping enormous fences, but haven't been able to find anything today from those games. It must have been something to have been able to see it, when it was happening! And what is a horseshow without beer? My husband has recently developed a good taste for Warstiener. He had spent some time in Munster last summer.
Where did you train? My old coach was raised in Germany, his name was Otto Sameit. He passed away last year. He was sure tough but made very VERY good riders.
I hope you enjoy your day! The sun is out here, so I think I will enjoy mine.
