Hm, the debate about physiological effects is interesting, but I think its missing the point. Also the aim of any training technique is not to create a funtional athlete, at least not primarily. It is to win the competition. If rollkur leads to ...

Hi, Cathrine is right. that's the way. I would usggest that you also do lunging sessions where you get him into a long and low position. You may use different aides there. The important part is to be patient. It requires a change of the horses mus...

does anybody know whether there will bea video streaming from the European championship? The TV coverage will be catastrophic. Only 2 reports for 30 minutes from dressage and jumping and that's it.- unless someone changes the TV program schedules....

Hm, looking at what she did to that man, I'm wondering what she does to her horses. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like to be in the place of the horse nor (god forbid) a husband - if she ever managed to get one. A read rider should have some degree ...

I'd like to encourage you to find out more about this "work hard" thing. Does he try to avoid just any type of hard work? In this case you may have a "simple" dominance problem that may be correctable in the way Ari suggested. Or does he try to ...

Technology is grand, when it works properly!

You are correcct, the 1972 Olympics was a little before my time; however, my uncle competed for the Canadian team in volleyball that year. I know that I have seen clips of horses jumping enormous fences, but haven't been able to find anything today from those games. It must have been something to have been able to see it, when it was happening! And what is a horseshow without beer? My husband has recently developed a good taste for Warstiener. He had spent some time in Munster last summer.

Where did you train? My old coach was raised in Germany, his name was Otto Sameit. He passed away last year. He was sure tough but made very VERY good riders.

I hope you enjoy your day! The sun is out here, so I think I will enjoy mine.

Cheers!
