Thanks for your message.
I´m indeed a very lucky mom, because my kids are just as horse crazy as i am. Last July we went to the USA. We visited Califonia and Virginia. We loved it and had such a great time that my kids did not want to return home. They would spot horses everywhere, specially in Virginia. We stayed in Cheasepeak. There we met some americans that raised horses ( 2 to 3 )in their backyards. My kids now dream to do the same here.
Go to go. Bye.

Thanks for the reply! My girl Star is an all American mix. She's about 33% Polish, 25% Russian and the rest is divvied out between CMK & Egyptian.

My grandparents used to raise Arabians though and had a Ferseyn son as well as a Ferzon son, so I've always had a great love of the working Arabian from them. They used to use their horses for everything: driving, moving cattle, etc.

But currently we just have Star as our only purebred, a half Arabian, and an off the track Thoroughbred. :) We're hoping to have an old McCoy bred join our herd soon though. I don't currently show (too expensive and I'm a very broke college student planning a wedding).

I've never been into the parelli thing, but my mare had some parelli groundwork done with her before I bought her. I think common sense horsemanship and understanding of the horse has a lot more similarity with natural horsemanship than people think though. :) Persistence and patience definitely work better than force.

Thanks Becky for your comment on my mare. Do you have Arabs at all?

Hey Becky.....loved your video! What a lovely relationship you have with your horse. I know about Parelli, somewhat, but have not tired it with my horse.

We have Johnathan Field in our neck of the woods (across Canada and he also comes to my area, Sidney, BC). I have audited a few times, but have never had the bucks to actually take a clinic. He and his grey horse did an unbelieveable demonstration at out "Mane Event" last October....the man is truly gifted. I think that he broke away from the "Parelli clan" to do his own thing.....but it is very obivous that the priniciples are there.

Thanks for asking me to be your barnmice friend. It seems that we have some things in common. Love the Arabs.....your horse is a beauty! Love the music....Allison Kraus is one of my fav's! And I too really enjoy making sweet little videos of my life with my horse and also of my friends and their horses.

Where do you live in the States? I was born in California, and also live in Washintong a few different times growing up. Still an AM citizen :)

Tell me about your horse....sorry, but I couldn't read his/her name at the end of your video.....

Ever had a Horse kiss you back? I have. A Percheron. I went to kiss him and he pushed his head forward into mine. It hurt...but it was cute!
