I've been riding for as long as I can remember. I enjoy driving also. My first love was eventing ,then I moved to dressage as my life got taken over by Family responsibilities. And recently I have become interested in endurance and competitve trail. I've been breeding sport ponies for ten years and am inthe process of getting the babies broken out.

I guess that is why we haven't met up. We didn't do the Summer Solstice ride at Dufferin Forest this summer. Wasn't happy about being forced to camp out overnight when we live an hour away and that would have meant paying for someone to do chores with the show horses & ponies.
We have limited budget for away rides and prefer to spend our money on quality - US rides, multi-day rides, etc.
Have you made it out to any distance rides yet? I'm generally found at the ones in Western Ontario - now currently campaigning a leopard Appy but have campaigned a pony sized Arabian.

You are correct. I believe my horse is "relaxed" when he "gives his back", or his back moves softly up and down as he moves. I achieve this on the lunge line and don't proceed to further work unless I get it. Laura
