Congrats on the safe and healthy arrival. I often think of your tragic loss when I see mine run around like idiots. In fact, since your mishap, we have made a point of bringing them inside before it gets dark. Best of luck on the new foal!

Don't get me wrong but how can you go cheap and win at pony finals in the same sentence? Honestly, I am not trying to be rude or anything just rational thinking. I would think that the time and money it takes to bred a pony that has the quality nece…

Can I ask you a few questions? Is riding really that bad? I was told that I had to lay off any "real" activity so as not to disturb them as they are almost blocking my bile duct yet still move around to help digest my food - speaking of food - I am…

Wow, Andrea you sound like a very busy lady! Have you arranged to have your gallbladder out? It is best to have it done laparoscopically (where they just put a few little holes in and use a fibre optic camera, etc). Recovery time is not long at all…

Found out the problem with no weight loss - I apparently have 8 gallstones, four of which are the sizes of plums. Once this gets straightened out I hope to be back on track as I have lots of catching up to do. Bought myself an old quarter horse mare…

Gosh - glad to see I am not the only one. I run a small riding school and I am a freak about using a clean pad every time you ride - I made 12 new ones of the winter so added to the ones I already owned, I totalled 63. I try to have 3 per saddle so…

Hi Diana - thanks for the invite! A few comments - with me, it was simply bad timing - we were going through some very rough times with our youngest daughter who is now, I am happy to say, a normal happy 17 year old. Also, distance and finances were…

About Me:
Me and my family own and operate a seasonal English Facility in the gorgeous area of Ashpodel Township, centrally located between the villages of both Norwood and Hastings. We offer English Riding lessons through our English Riding Academy which runs from April 1st until January 1st. We are proud of our pony riding mounts and those currently in "school pony training". We enjoy showing both adults and children alike the wonders a pony can bring to a person's life. We also offer our services for pony training and beginning in 2010, we will also have fully completed our renovations to allow us to increase our range of services to include showing for clients as well as standing of 2 breeding stallions. Our training services are reasonable and "pony priced" and are available for Hunter/Jumper, Saddle Seat and Western which will also be available for showing. Personally, I have now finally accepted that my children do not wish to be as active in my pony world as I am so I am very excited to puruse my dreams without any holdbacks along with my husband Dave. We are not breeding for a few years to allow us to catch up on the young ponies we have at home as well as give our broodmares a change of pace and give them a show career for a few years. We invite anyone out in oour area to call us to drop out and chat - we love to talk ponies!
Do you have any pets?
tons - at the moment, 4 dogs, unsure of how many cats but one orphan in the house
Topics of Interest

Still waiting on surgery for my gall stones and gall bladder to be removed and have had some health issues tied to that - my iron is rock bottom, as well as a few other things not where they should be- explains the great need I have for naps! LOL Hopefully got that problem straightened out and in a few weeks, have a consult with my surgeon and then hopefully surgery. Until then, I am okay for riding as long as I stop when it hurst (like that will happen) but until my iron is up to specs, I have… Continue

Been quite a while but here goes...

Bought myself an old quarter horse mare - she is 20 and a dear old soul that only wants to live life at a slower pace. She was a team penner so I do understand. She is as sound as a dollar and bomb proof - a term I use very lightly but that she is! Mind you, she was quite underweight and l… Continue

Excited to be back in the saddle so to speak!

Gosh, it has been a very difficult past few years with my children but finally have them all straightened out and happy so now it is mommy's turn! Have a few personally goals - started to lose weight last year and then hit a platue so back at it again as this year is MY YEAR! With no truck it gives me the time I need to prepare for showing in 2010. We had two unexpected foals last year at the same time, we lost our grand old broodmare Different Season - one of the few remaing CH Kourageous Kalu… Continue
