Join the OEF on Friday November 27, 2010 for an Evening of Fun!

Everyone is invited to help us kick off the OEF Annual Conference at the FREE Friday Night Opening Bash. Visit the Trade Show, have some refreshments, network with fellow Ontario Equestrians and win some great prizes!

In addition, you are invited to participate in the FREE Ask An Expert Event! Participants will have the opportunity to have one on one time with a variety of horse experts from diverse backgrounds to get advice on their riding and tips on their horses, but there is a catch! Using the "speed dating" format, participants will only have three minutes with each expert to get answers to questions! Experts include Josh Lyons and Dr. Marvin Beeman!!

For a list of experts and registration information please visit http://www.horse.on.ca/annual_conference/ask_an_expert_event.html

Hope to see you there!

I am selling my 12 year old appaloosa gelding.
He's an amazing horse. Goes english, western, bareback. He's been shown, done trails, jumped. He does need an experienced rider.
If anyone wants more information don't hesitate to ask, you can email me @ holly_brown13@hotmail.com

I am looking to find a new barn, coach and horse/pony for my daughter. That sounds like a lot doesn't it. We have looked at buying and leasing large ponies but haven't found the right one. Currently we are riding at a stable in King City that is good but won't take her to the next level. Plus I ride and would love to find a barn and a horse too where I can ride as well (nothing too serious)

Sarah, where do you take your daughter to ride at this time? Are you saying she doesn't have any horse of her own? Ponies are sweet but not for a jumper at your daughter's age. She needs a horse which can bring her into her teens and beyond if you can swing it.

There are several really good coaches available in the TO area. I would presume you would want someone who can teach her at your barn, or do you want her to be taught with a barn's horse?

My daughter is 9 and a terrific rider for her age, jumping 2'6". She does not have a pony. I am looking for a coach to take her to the next level. She wants to show on the A circuit. I live in Toronto so I don't want to go too far out of the city. Does anyone know of anyone great?

Well, I feel that every colic is different. Ask your vet for suggestions as to why the colic occured (one doesn't always know), and don't worry too much about big pieces of carrot causing colic; it is unusual for that to even be a factor. I don't ...
