What does everyone think of Anky's new mount IPS Painted Black? Another gold medal winner? He looks very nice. I read that at the Equis World Dressage Masters he was very nervous in the first test but then he put in an amazing freestyle. It will be interesting to see what they do next.

Catherine, did you notice that our member Justin Ridgewell, just loaded a bunch of photos from Wellington? He was down there for the show and got some fabulous shots. I think this horse is just STUNNING, but he can tell you first hand!! :)

This horse is really cool! He was a bit spooky the first test ( which is understandable!! ) but the freestyle was amazing! Ankys music was great... This horse will be great. Last thing I read she was ranked 5th in the world on this horse.

This horse has definitely got talent! I also saw him in Florida recently and he was tense in his Grand Prix, but he is a young stallion and I'm sure the environment was really intimidating for him. When Anky rode into the ring, you could hear a pin drop the crowd was so quiet and on the edge of their seats!
They both redeemed themselves in the Freestyle - Painted Black’s extended trot was flawless and in complete rhythm to the music. He just needs to compete at more big shows like this one in order to be as steady in the ring as Salinero is - but that is just all part of the training.
Anky definitely has another great one in the making with this horse!

I think most of the young GP horses are very excited when they first start to show. Many of those folks don't show those horses much at all til they are ready to compete at that level. They're saved until that point. Some will have gone to a few classes as youngsters just to market them.

PB seems like a very modern, athletic horse. I think he has some of the issues typical of this sort of compact, high energy horse, but I think it's all normal and expected.
