I have two canine overlords (my "dog owners" - ie. the dogs who own me). I also have one barn kitty who frequently bosses me around (and thus is my "cat owner"). ;)

Want to add ... that for those in the Newmarket, Ontario area there's a great shop called Poochini's Barkery. Lea makes the most incredible dog treats, including the wonderful cake the pups enjoyed today. Check out www.poochinisbarkery.com.

The weather did clear and we had a fantastic time!!! And the dogs absolutely "woofed" down the birthday cake. It was quite comical and lots of fun for canines and humans alike ...

We're having a puppy birthday party today ... at least we hope we are. It's raining, which is putting a damper on things a bit. Abbey, my younger collie, turned one year old on June 13, and two of her friends she plays with in the park are also having their first birthday this month, so we decided to have a party, complete with peanut butter birthday cake from the local dog bakery. I hope the weather clears ... Abbey has really been looking forward to her birthday party.

My very old pony colicked about 2 years ago. While he seemed to be just fine, I have always kept a close eye on him. Because of his age, I give him 'soup' for his meal and I do add oil. Every horse is different of course and while one may only col...
