Wow - I don't know about the rest of you with regard to the global pandemic, but I had my H1N1 vaccination yesterday and I'm now feeling like I've been hit by a bus. If this is just a little taste of the flu then the injection's worth it! No wonder my horses feel a little "punk" the day after theirs!

Hi, Kris:

We've been a little quiet lately. I think as the weather gets colder here I'll have more time for pursuits like this! The barn becomes less inviting at -30, and the horses don't even want to talk to me at that temperature. Unless you have a heated arena (I'm guessing in Winnipeg that would be the case) you'll probably be like me!

And yes, I have had positive experiences with the exams so far :)

Thank you and hello :) The next level is BHSII, then BHSI then Fellow of the BHS. My plan at the moment is to complete BHSII and the Stable Manager part of the BHSI and then focus on myself as a rider for a bit.

My very old pony colicked about 2 years ago. While he seemed to be just fine, I have always kept a close eye on him. Because of his age, I give him 'soup' for his meal and I do add oil. Every horse is different of course and while one may only col...
