I find just walking the talk works best. Don't hide anything, yes there will be persecution but the Lord already told us to expect it.. So welcome Donelda and Mary!

How wonderful to belong to a Christian horse group! The Lord plays such an important part of my life and it will be nice to have friends who share the same interests.

I'm new to this group; hoping to get acquainted with other Christian horse-crazies. I feel like a lone ranger when attended weekend horsey things. I participate in Competitive Trail Rides and would love to be a witness there.

There used to be a place nearby that was an equine rehabilitation farm, and they had people sponsor the horses. The horses were not to leave the property, but people were allowed to come see them and help pay for costs. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business, but I'd also heard strange things about the people who ran it.

Not sure what things are like on your side of the country, but out here if you rent out horses for riding, you have to have special insurance (not to mention helmets, etc.). Or perhaps you could have people sign a waiver that they are riding at their own risk. I just wouldn't want you to get hit with a lawsuit if someone hurt themselves around or on the horses. Even just having sponsors, you may need specific insurance in case someone got bit or kicked. Sorry if I'm being a wet blanket. Maybe your insurance covers all that already :o)

Could you put up posters, saying that the rescue needs help? Maybe you could put them up in tack stores or feed stores...or even animal shelters or vet clinics.

I also have an idea for you Tammie. If you happen to rescue a mare that is in foal, but you don't know when it is going to be born, you could put out an annoucement in your local paper, saying that people and pay 5 dollors or more to guess when the foal will be born, what color it will be, and if it is going to be female or male. The winner will get to name the foal.
I will be thinking of more ideas for you. Hope this hepls:)

And as for me and my horse, I will serve the Lord.

Tammie I was thinking of you today and remembered about something I ran across on here Barnmice. Someone from Britain was on and was talking about renting horse out by the hour. They still lived at your place but people came there to ride for an hour or just hang out with the horse for an hour. They are not allowed to take the horse away from the property without written consent and a deposit. That way people get a chance to own a horse for several hours a week. If the horse is healthy they could have several clients, part of your job would be keeping a day book recording the hours the horse is rented for. Just some thoughts hope they can help.

Love your website, "Pipsqueak"!! I admire both you and Tammie for rescuing horses.

Tammie, I said a prayer for you. I pray that the funds will be there when you need them so that you can keep your operation going. Because it's a rescue, can you approach different places for donations? Maybe you already do that, or perhaps there is red tape involved in that that I don't know about. I pray that God would give you peace in the entire situation. As Cindy said, He may have other plans for you and your horses...something better. I know it is so hard to understand why things are happening when we are in the thick of it, but He sees where He wants you to be and desires the best for you, His child.

So many people think that to get out of debt sell the things you love the most and make you happy. God wants us to be joyful in Him, how can we do that when we lose the very thing that gives us happiness in this world, that makes us get up in the morning. For sure as true believers we are not to put anything above God, but He gave you those "angels" and the "acres". He can take them away if He so chooses. But He never takes anything away without replacing it with something better, possibly He has something different in mind for you or He just wants to rearrange it a bit so it's in line with what He wants for you. My prayers are with you Tammie, I know that what you do for our equine friends is needed and good. Remember God loves people above other creation, maybe He needs you to attend to the people of these horses too. Bless you :-)

Hello everyone.I am happy to have found a website such as this one I am in need of prayers right now my funds are very low and I have a small rescue facility here in surrey bc. I am in need of hay and grain and I am not certain where it will come from i am going through a real nasty seperation and I have so many other bills that have piled up i ahve been praying and talking to god day and night and i do know he listens but i still feel i will lose all my ANGELS! I was wondering if you could pray for my horses and myself i would literally curl up in a ball and die if i couldn't keep my animals.(horses) This is why i wake up every morning!Thank You Tammie guardian angel acres.

I fell in love with God and horses at the same place - Summer Camp! I returned each summer until I was old enough to be on staff. Ended up moving there as a young adult and worked with the horses for 2 years. I miss those days, and the camp has since shut down... but what great memories! I hope that my daughter will have as great of an experience as I did when she's old enough to go to camp!

She already has a love for horses at four years old. We run a Miniature Horse rescue and she is right in there!

Today, I am spreading the word for our new Fundraising project... very FUN t-shirts with the profits going to our Society. If you have a moment, please check out the website and spread the word to your friends!

Thanks so much!
