The first pic is of Chance and I now. He's seven and I'm 14. The second one is when I went to try him out. He was five and I was 12.

I got my horse Chance 2 and 1/2 years ago and it feels like we've come so far in the little time that we've had. I know that we still have a LONG way to go, but we're making progress. We train and compete in dressage and it's cool to see how his muscle has developed. I though I'd post a picture of when I tried him in 2007 and a pic of him now. I'd like everyone to post their pics of their horses to share how far they've come, too!

He's HUGE

haha, yeah. He's only 16.2, which seems small to me because my trainer has an 18 hand horse! But I'm only 5'4 so I make him look even taller. lol

My boy at a week old.

My boy at two years old (a month ago).

We still have a lo-o-ong way to go before we are in the dressage ring together... but we have accomplished a lot already: He has been introduced to a bit, bridle and surcingle; has learned good manners and basic lungeing; has conquered many scary "monsters"; and has been in the show ring (in halter). While there are many physical changes to be seen, the really fun development is how he has grown mentally.

Great pics. He's so handsome! What breed is he?

Good luck with him!

Thanks! He is a purebred Canadian Horse. He is a lot of fun to work with... very sweet and he tries very hard to please. :)

Chance is very handsome too... I love his colour. From your photo albums it looks like he is a great (and fun) partner.

Oh, cool. I'm not very familiar with the breed so it is interesting to see and hear a little bit about them.

Thanks. :) We've definately had a lot of great experiences, but he is a goofball!

WOW! He's changed so much between 5 and 7! You're doing an awesome job working him correctly to develop those muscles!! He's gorgeous!

Thanks! It's been so fun to watch him grow. We've started training a little bit of the Prix St. George movements now and I'm really excited because it will be the first time I've ever trained a horse up to that level. Luckily he's been super patient with me so far since we're both kind of learning together. I'm sure you'll be seeing some drastic changes in your mare in a couple of years!
