Who else is following American Idol this season? What do you think of Cara? I wish they would get to Hollywood already.

Adam receives his first slice of humble pie ... he was due. His smug theatrics are beginning to annoy me.

Sorry to see Matt go, but he was the weak link this time around.

I don't think Adam is a shoe-in for "Idol". Kris or Danny could easily knock him off that pedestal.

It seems to me that we were down to 4 awesome performers.
It is so good to see them all grow as their confidence increases.
My personal impression of Adam is that he knows he's pretty darn good
and He LOVES what he is doing. He is very comfortable in his own shoes.
They all have seemed very encouraging with one another which is really great
seeing that they are in competition with each other.
I think and hope all of these final four go places. American Idol isn't likely to be the end of the road for any of them. Or Matt either in my opinion.

I cannot believe that Allyson was kicked off the Idol last night. Oner of her best memorable performances was he last one last night, she sang her heart out. She will go places, I can see her partnering up with Adam for an album. Such is life, but she has her name out there and with the right directions she can go places.

Quite a week! And what a surprise that Allison was voted off (can 46 million voters be wrong though???), given that she was the show's last "rocker" (although Adam is obviously a rock god as the judges made abundantly clear) and also given that her song was pretty darn good. And how did Kris and Danny, those soft crooners, survive?

I know - it's not just a singing contest! Personality, likeability and looks count for a lot. And should. They are going to be entertainers. Example: Doughtry's song was a bit boring, but his likeability is through the roof.

Did Paula lip-sink her song?

And what was that awful song that Gwen Stefani sang? Better still, who choreographed it???

I recommend that both Paula and Gwen sign up to do a duet with Adam.

Question: who is the best duet in the world?
Answer: Adam and anyone else.

Have to go now. Need to listen to Adam's "Mad World" again.

:)

I'm not really surprised about Allison's departure as I don't believe she's got the versatility of the others. Yes, Adam is confident, but his schtick can be pretty one dimensional too sometimes. I like Danny and Chris for the subtlety and senstivity of their delivery, even with the rock. But having said that, neither one of them are rock singers and I'm glad that they weren't voted off because of their weak rock offerings. I think next week will be a real test when they have to sing a "judges' choice" song as well as their own selection.

This is a very talented bunch and I believe, like Shirley, that the top five will have careers in music of some description once this is all over.

Yeh .... my personal choice won! Kris is awesome and will go far. He's a multi-dimensional and sensitive artist and a sweetie to boot. Adam is great, but he's rock and rock is great but it's pretty one-dimensional and doesn't appeal to as wide an audience. But he'll have a great career, I'm sure of it.

Way to go Kris Allen!

(I'll be buying your first CD! Love his rendition of "Ain't no Sunshine.")

Last nights two hour special of American Idol was FABULOUS! Glad I got it on tape to view again.
I was very impressed with both finalists in how they handled themselves at the very end.
I think they both really respected the other and seemed to know they were both really big winners
no matter what this final outcome on Idol dealt them.
I totally enjoyed both of them! My personal opinion is that Adam is probably more talented but Chris
has a wider appeal factor going for him. Adam fit right in with Kiss where Chris would not. I acknowledge that
Kiss has a WOW factor and is very very talented in what they do but I wouldn't care to listen to their music very long.
GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!
I still think many of this years contestants are going to go far....sooooo much talent this season!!!!!

I had a Christmas card today that said all the regular things and "oh by the way, we are spending the winter in Florida". What is wrong with this picture as we wait for the freezing rain tomorrow.
